Joining is easy! And once you're in, the fun begins!

The membership fee for the Pool League is $20 for the entire year.

You also pay a $20 forfeit deposit at the start of the season. This money will be used to pay a $10 forfeiture fee if you should fail to notify your opponent when you are unable to play a match. Any money remaining from your forfeit deposit at the end of the season is refunded to you.

Lastly, you pay $5 to the pool hall on each night of play.

For more information on league fees, please see the General Rules and Policies section of the League Rules page.

The Pool League plays on Mondays at Al's Billiards in Roseville, near the corner of Larpenteur and Hamline. Match playing time is from 5:00pm to 8:00pm or until your match ends. If your match ends early, you may continue to play until 8:00pm.

The league schedule runs for approximately 12 weeks, October through December, and another 12 weeks, January thru March. You are required to play your match on the designated night, but depending on circumstances, can make up the match at another time if your opponent agrees.

The game played in our Pool League is called Straight Pool, also known as 14.1 Continuous. There are three games per match. Each player races to pocket his target number of balls, factoring in handicaps, and the first player to reach his target is the winner of that game. You receive 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. The person that scores the most points totaled in the three games receives an extra point. For each match, you can receive a total of 7 points.

More information on the league structure and handicaps can be found on our League Format page.
